Cigarette tax files, 1984-[ongoing].

These files are created to keep track of funds generated by the cigarette tax and its distribution. The one cent tax is distributed to the Board of Health, the Board of Mental Health, and is used for bond repayment. The two cent tax benefits each item listed above as well as the Revenue Dept. where it is used to cover administrative costs. This series includes lists of monthly receipts for each account and disbursements, copies of the acts which designated the funds for special uses, bond prospectuses of bonds repaid from this fund, debt service on bonds, and vertifications of fund transfers.
